Personal Data Protection Policy
In accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), your personal data may be processed by our Association, acting as the Data Controller, within the framework described below. Your personal data may be used, recorded, stored, updated, transferred, and/or classified in line with legitimate business purposes and in compliance with applicable legislation. Our Association takes all necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure an appropriate level of security and to prevent the unlawful processing, unauthorized access, or misuse of your personal data. In accordance with the principles of privacy, fundamental rights, and freedoms, we are committed to protecting your personal data and maintaining its confidentiality and integrity.
This policy applies to all real persons whose personal data are processed by our Association, excluding our employees and job applicants.
As the Data Controller, our Association may process personal data including, but not limited to, your name, surname, Turkish ID number, address, telephone number, email address, signature, physical location or security camera recordings, call center or service quality recordings, bank account number, and cookie records.
Your personal data shared with our Association may be processed for the following purposes and legal reasons:
• To enable you and/or the institutions and organizations you represent to benefit from the products and services offered by our Association, including but not limited to carrying out the necessary activities for determining and implementing our commercial and business strategies, conducting marketing activities, and performing business development and planning processes,
• To manage administrative operations related to communication carried out by our Association,
• To ensure the physical security and supervision of the premises and facilities used by our Association,
• To establish and maintain relationships with business partners, customers, and suppliers (including authorized representatives and employees),
• To fulfill contractual obligations and financial reconciliations related to the products and services jointly offered with our business partners, suppliers, or other third parties,
• To implement and manage the human resources policies of our Association,
• To manage communications through the Association’s call center or website,
and/or
• To facilitate participation in trainings, seminars, or other events organized by our Association.
Your personal data may be collected automatically or non-automatically, orally, in writing, or electronically, through our offices, branches, call center, website, social media accounts, mobile applications, and similar platforms. All personal data are securely stored in electronic and/or physical environments. Our Association implements technical and administrative safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, manipulation, loss, or damage, and to ensure the protection of all data systems where personal information is stored.
Your personal data will be processed securely and used only for the purposes communicated to you. It will be retained for the period required by law or, if no such period is defined, for as long as the purpose of processing requires. Once this period expires, your personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized and removed from our data systems.
Transfer of Personal Data;
Within the framework of the law and other applicable legislation, and for the purposes stated above, your personal data may be transferred to;
• Türk Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. and Türk Telekomünikasyon group companies,
• Companies and representatives authorized by our Association to operate on its behalf,
• Regulatory and supervisory authorities, and public institutions or organizations legally authorized to request personal data in accordance with the applicable laws,
• Business partners, suppliers, subcontractors, banks, credit risk and financial institutions, and other real or legal persons within the scope of the stated purposes,
• Tax advisors and similar consultants, mandatory persons, institutions, and organizations involved in legal follow-up processes, as well as third parties providing consultancy services including auditors, and without limitation to the foregoing, your personal data may be transferred domestically and abroad to business partners, service providers, authorized persons, and organizations for the purposes set out above.
Your Rights Under Article 11 of the KVKK; Pursuant to Article 11 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), you have the right to apply to our Association and request the following regarding your personal data;
To learn whether your personal data has been processed,
To request information if your personal data has been processed,
To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose,
To learn about the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred domestically or abroad,
To request correction of your personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately,
To request deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions set forth in Article 7 of the KVKK,
To request that the transactions carried out pursuant to subparagraphs (e) and (f) above be notified to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,
To object to any outcome arising against you as a result of analysis conducted exclusively through automated systems,
To request compensation for any damage suffered as a result of unlawful processing of your personal data.
In accordance with Article 13, paragraph 1 of the KVKK, you may submit your requests regarding the rights listed above to our Association in writing or by other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.
To exercise these rights, you may deliver your signed petition containing the necessary identifying information in person, send it through a notary public, use other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board, or send it as a securely signed electronic document to the official email address of our Association.
